In the south of Saxony-Anhalt there is a natural camping site at the Mondsee Hohenmölsen.
The small camping site was founded in 2002. At the moment, about 100 seasonal and permanent campers have set up their tents here. MONDSEE also offers space for about 40 short-term campers. Parking places for caravans, motorhomes and tents are present. The place is equipped with a sanitary building that was opened in 2010. Pets are permitted in the camping area according to the house rules. During the season, the snack booths and the beach restaurant "Seeblick" offer a diverse and low-cost offer of food and drink.

Excursion advice 
This post-mining landscape offers various monuments of the past; you can cycle across the "Saale-Unstrut-Elster bicycle eight" or discover the nearby "Elster bicycle route" or the towns of Zeitz, Weißenfels and Leipzig.

How to find us
Take the A9 towards Munich, exit at Weißenfels and follow the B91 towards Zeite. Follow the signs towards Hohenmölsen. In Hohenmölsen, follow the signs "Freizeitpark Pirkau/Mondsee", past the industrial quarter EINHEIT and turn right onto the L191 towards Theißen/Zeitz. You will reach the MONDSEE after approx. 2 kilometres. It is located on the left, across from the open-cast mining area Profen.
